Services page: how to structure it to generate enquiries
The services page is where the user decides whether to contact you. Here is the 7-section structure we use in our projects.
The services page is one of the top 3 most visited pages on an SME site (with homepage and contact). It's also where users decide whether to contact you or keep searching. Yet most SMEs treat it as a long list of things they do.
Here is the 7-section structure that works — tested on 30+ sites — to generate qualified enquiries.
Section 1 — Hero with a specific promise
Not "Our services" but "What we solve for [target]". Example:
- ❌ "Our consulting services"
- ✅ "We help accounting firms digitise client management without changing software"
The visitor must understand in 5 seconds whether the page is for them.
Section 2 — Problems you solve
Don't talk about you. Talk about the user's problem. List 3-5 specific problems with the recognisable symptom.
Example for an SEO agency:
- "You're on page 2 of Google for your main services"
- "Smaller competitors outrank you in local searches"
- "You've invested in SEO but don't know if it's working"
Section 3 — What you actually do (and what you DON'T)
Total transparency. List of included activities, excluded ones, working method. The "what you DON'T do" builds trust more than anything else.
Section 4 — Measurable results (with real numbers)
2-3 case studies with specific numbers. Not "we increased a client's revenue". But "Client X: from 12 to 47 enquiries/month in 4 months".
If you don't have numbers, say it honestly: "We've been working in this sector for 8 months — publishable results will come in 6 months". It's more credible than inventing figures.
Section 5 — Price (yes, price)
70% of SME sites don't show prices. Mistake. Price qualifies inbound leads. Without price you get 100 enquiries, 90 out of budget. With price you get 30 enquiries, 25 in the right range.
If you can't fix a price, give a range. "From €2,000". "Typically €5,000-15,000 per project."
Section 6 — How we work together (process)
3-5 process steps with rough timing. Example:
- Free audit (48h)
- Written proposal (3 days)
- Kick-off + setup (week 1)
- Activation (weeks 2-3)
- Monthly reports and optimisations
Timing and method reduce the "fear of the next step" that blocks 40% of contacts.
Section 7 — Service-specific FAQ
Not generic FAQ ("How good are you?"). But the 5-8 REAL questions you get via email/phone before signing. Example for a digital agency:
- "What happens if I'm not happy after the first month?"
- "Do you only work with retainer clients, or one-off projects too?"
- "Can I see my account data in real time?"
FAQs answer objections and do 30-50% of the sales work before the first call.
Bonus section — CTA in 3 spots
One CTA above the fold, one mid-page, one at the bottom. All must point to the same form/audit. If you want variants, e.g. "Free audit" + "See the quote".
Mistakes to avoid
- List of 14 different services on one page (impossible to understand the specialisation)
- Generic testimonials without name/company
- "We're committed to..." (the empty words of corporate sites)
- Just text, no visual examples or real work images
